During an interview with Platinum, the Duchess of York revealed she’s a huge fan of the Netflix show (which is currently filming its fourth season after the third season was released in 2024) and that she wants to be involved in future episodes.

“I’ve asked my agent to get me on Bridgerton! The set designs are incredible! I could be a long-lost friend for Penelope [Featherington, played by Nicola Coughlan]. I just have to be on Bridgerton,” Fergie gushed.

She went on to say that she’s only interested in Bridgerton; not reality TV shows.

“I’ve been asked to go on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! hundreds of times, and the answer is always no. I’m sure it’s lovely for lots of people but not for me!”

It’s not too surprising that the Duchess wishes to star in Bridgerton as she has forayed into acting before.

For instance, she had a small but very fitting role in the 2024 film An American in Austen as ‘The Duchess’.

Furthermore, in 1998, Fergie appeared as herself in the popular sitcom Friends.

And one year later, she appeared in Dawn French’s The Vicar of Dibley – again as herself.

Fergie also voice acted in the 2004 short Disney film The Cat That Looked at a King; she voiced ‘The Queen’.

Acting isn’t the only creative pursuit the Duchess of York has delved into though.

Fergie has written several books, including Her Heart for a Compass and the Little Red series.

Not to mention, she also co-hosts the weekly podcast Tea Talks with the Duchess and Sarah.
