How many versions are there of The Twelve?

The Twelve was an Australian remake of the 2019 Belgian TV show De Twaalf (which translates to ‘The Twelve’ in English).

However, while both television shows follow the 12 jurors deliberating on a murder trial, the plots are quite different.

In the original version, the series focuses on the trial of Frie Palmers. Frie was a school headmistress accused of two murders committed many years apart. Those of her best friend in 2000 and her daughter in 2016.

Whereas the first season of the Australian version focused on the trial of Kate Lawson — who is accused of killing her 14-year-old niece.
