Delta Goodrem is one of Australia’s most beloved celebrities.
However, as with any high-profile figure, the Predictable singer has also faced her fair share of criticism during her lengthy career.

Initially, the 38-year-old took to Instagram just to share her excitement for her upcoming Australian tour.
“I haven’t played at @sydneycoliseum before so naturally [I] had to go check it out myself and my gosh what a Beautiful venue!!! Sydney! [I] can’t wait to kick off these intimate shows for the Innocent Eyes Tour there in September,” she wrote.
And while most fans shared in her excitement, some were less than impressed.

For context, Delta had a slew of shows scheduled in the UK and Europe earlier this year in March, but had to postpone them at the last minute after doctors ordered her to rest her ‘overextended’ vocal chords.
At this stage, none of the cancelled shows have been rescheduled, even though Delta’s been given the all clear to perform (she performed in the Maldives in May). Which is why multiple UK and European fans expressed their frustration at Delta in the comments section of her latest post.
“Will there [be] any announcement about the EU tour dates today, tomorrow or do we have to be in uncertainty longer?” one fan asked.
Another commented, “That’s so great…. Thank you so much for fulfilling your UK tour prior to your Maldives and Sydney shows, oh wait, well… Some of us made plans months in advance (time off, flights, accommodation), some of us didn’t follow through for other more glamorous gigs #LostFan #Disappointment #Crying #What”.
This comment in particular garnered a response from Delta herself.
The singer handled the backlash with kindness and respect, replying with thoughtful comments.

“It was very heartbreaking to have to move them. But voice health had to come first, the Maldives was always at the end of the Europe tour. Never in place of.”
But this wasn’t the only comment Delta responded to. One fan asked, “UK dates @deltagoodrem? It would be good to hear when they’re being rescheduled (if at all).”
Delta answered, “Any day now ❤️ We are all so excited for them! xxx,” ultimately proving that staying cool, calm and collected is one of the best ways to deal with criticism.
