Jewellery is among the finer things in life. Whether it’s a gift from a loved one or a piece you bought yourself to mark a special occasion, the best pieces of jewellery to own are the ones with meanings and stories. This philosophy is exactly what led to the creation of Èsah and Co., a Brisbane-based jewellery brand. According to founder Jane Salazar, Èsah and Co. is forging a new path by integrating self-care and affirmation into all of its pieces.
The company is headed by Jane Salazar, a visionary teacher turned-entrepreneur who openly struggled with anxiety and isolation during the Covid pandemic lockdowns. Jane says that her remedy to combatting anxiety was through affirmations such as, “I am who I am, I am enough,” and “Focus on what you can control.”
Combining this with her roots in art, Jane began developing an array of gorgeous affirmation pendants, each hand-drawn by Jane and available through Èsah and Co. The pendants offer inspiration and support to others facing similar challenges.
However, beyond just getting a pendant, Èsah and Co. have fostered a vibrant online community where self-care and affirmations are not just encouraged but celebrated.
From weekly love note emails, self-care check-ins on Instagram, and affirmation posts Èsah and Co. stays connected with you long after you’ve received your pendant. Whilst Èsah and Co. have a range of gorgeous gold and silver affirmation pendants, they also have earrings and rings, too.
The brand has recently gone a step further by launching its ‘pay it forward’ campaign, which encouraged customers to anonymously gift Èsah and Co. jewellery to other people. The campaign resulted in extraordinary acts of kindness which saw Jane herself leaving packages on door stops throughout Brisbane and gifting a necklace to a woman collecting trolleys in a local car park.
“Our goal isn’t merely to sell unique quality jewellery but to enrich lives. Each piece we create carries the potential to transform a mindset or brighten a day. Our mission extends beyond commerce; it is about creating a movement where everyone feels seen, heard, and supported,” Jane says.
