From New York to London to Milan, fashion week finally landed in the City of Light for Paris Fashion Week 2023. Dressing to impress, both on the street, attending shows, or even on the runway, our favourite celebrities witnessed the 2024 spring and summer collections from the most prolific designers of the moment.
As the home of the inaugural organised fashion week in 1973, Paris is an unmissable city for the who’s who of the industry. The first ever Paris Fashion Week opened with a Battle of Versailles Fashion Show. Referencing the historic tensions between Paris and New York, five French designers were pitted against five American designers. The event was a fundraiser to restore the Palace of Versailles.
50 years later, fashion may have evolved, but its cultural impact remains the same. Here are some of our favourite looks for Paris Fashion Week 2023.
01
Cate Blanchett
The Academy Award winning actress proved that the denim on demin trend is here to stay in this Stella McCartney ‘fit.

02
Helen Mirren
Dame Helen Mirren sparkled in this silver floor-length gown and statement sleeves for the L’Oréal Paris show.

03
Elle MacPherson
The model looked effortlessly cool in this Christian Dior black dress, complete with a cinched waist and matching sunglasses.

04
Venus Williams
Sunglasses were popular this fashion week. The tennis player accessorised her Louis Vuitton look with some shades and a box bag.

05
Kate Moss
Kate Moss was a vision in black with this long-sleeved Saint Laurent midi dress and fluffy coat. Her slicked-back hair and gold accents finished the look.

06
Cate Blanchett
Cate’s Louis Vuitton jumpsuit with checkered accents has earned her another spot on this list.

07
Michelle Yeoh
Straying away from the neutrals was actress Michelle Yeoh in this elegant, all-green Shiatzy Chen number.

08
Samara Weaving
Samara Weaving paired an oversized blazer with a matching black set from Valentino. We’re particularly gripped by the butterfly detailing.

09
Elizabeth Debicki
Dazzling in Dior was The Crown actress Elizabeth Debicki, opting for a matching black set and subtle makeup.

10
Laura Dern
Again in all black was Laura Dern, wearing a long Roger Vivier gown and matching coat.

11
Charlize Theron
One of our favourite Dior looks came from Charlize Theron. She wore a classic button up blouse, French-tucked into a beaded tan skirt.

12
Naomi Campbell
With a colourful striped dress and a feathery collar as a statement piece, Naomi Campbell was one of the standouts for the Business of Fashion Gala.

13
Pamela Anderson
The Baywatch star glowed in this tartan coat and matching hat by Vivienne Westwood. We love that she dared to go makeup free too!
