Everyone and their mother seems to be excited for the upcoming film Barbie, starring Australian actress Margot Robbie as the titular character and directed by Greta Gerwig.
And as a part of that excitement, an incredible fashion trend has emerged: Barbiecore.
What is Barbiecore? Essentially, it’s an outfit that has an abundance of vibrant hot pink; also known as Barbie Pink.
But Margot has taken Barbiecore to new heights during her Barbie press tour and isn’t just rocking pink outfits. She’s instead been wearing ensembles that have been inspired by iconic Barbie doll outfits.
Case in point: while promoting her highly anticipated film in Sydney, Australia, Margot wore a strapless Hervé Léger dress that was modelled after the strapless black-and-white swimsuit worn by the first-ever Barbie in 1959; and she looked simply divine.
Clearly, Australian fashion brand Review has followed Margot’s lead as it’s released a stunning collection of dresses which have all been inspired by the golden years of Barbie.
Read on to see our favourites (AKA the Barbiecore outfits you need to add to your wardrobe as soon as possible).
