If you’re anything like me, tech can be both a blessing and a curse. On the one hand, it usually makes some aspect of life easier, like saving time on cooking and cleaning or “switching off” with some entertainment. But it can also be expensive when the time comes for a replacement or upgrade. Unless you can get it on sale – and I’ve already found some great tech deals ahead of Amazon Prime Day.
While Prime Day technically runs from July 8 to 14, there are some early deals that could save you a bundle on everything from air fryers and blenders to hair stylers, robot vacuums, fitness trackers and walking pads.
Amazon isn’t always the easiest online shop to find what you want, so I’ve gone ahead and rounded up some of the best early Amazon Prime Day tech deals, along with a few predictions of what could go on sale when things heat up (from July 8).

Three tips to make the most of Amazon Prime Day tech deals
- Get your Prime membership sorted: The great savings offered for Amazon Prime Day are exclusively available to members. So if you’re not already signed up to Amazon Prime, you can get a 30-day free trial to make the most of these deals, as well as other benefits like fast and free shipping options and Prime Video. It’s $9.99 a month after the trial, and you can cancel any time.
- Add items to your wishlist: While there are early Prime Day tech deals now, the real sale starts at midnight on July 8 – giving you time to create a wishlist or two through your Amazon account. You can add any product to a list by clicking “Add to wish list” on the product page, which makes it easy to check what’s on sale and grab it at a great price.
- Check what you need first: A sale makes it very tempting to add everything to cart online. But focusing on what’s actually going to be useful can make it easier to avoid overspending.
