People have a serious love-hate relationship with Emily in Paris.

The show was the most-watched show on Netflix in 2022 and has been nominated for six Emmy Awards.

And yet, people constantly criticise Emily and her “wacky” outfits on social media.

So why is the show so popular? In our humble opinion, there are a few reasons.

For one, the characters Camille and Sylvie have impeccable fashion, not surprising since Patricia Field of Sex and the City fame is the costume consultant.

Another is that it’s simply a guilty pleasure to watch; Emily in Paris is fun, campy, predictable and easy to follow.

If you’re yet to watch Seasons 1 to 4, do so immediately. Trust us, you’ll enjoy it!

Is Season 5 of Emily in Paris coming out?

Yes! Production on the fifth season will begin in May 2025, meaning it’ll likely be released later this year.

Watch this space for an exact release date!

As for the cast, Lily Collins, Lucas Bravo, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, William Abadie, and Lucien Laviscount are all set to reprise their respective roles.

Sadly, it’s been confirmed that Camille Razat, who has starred in the series as Camille since the first season, will not return for Season 5.

But it’s not all bad news! Oscar nominee Minnie Driver will join the cast in the upcoming season as Princess Jane, a character described as “A friend of Sylvie’s who married into a royal family.”

Where can I watch Season 5 of Emily in Paris?

All four seasons of Emily in Paris are available exclusively on Netflix.

Season 5 will be made available on the streaming platform once it’s released; again, watch this space for an exact premiere date.

Who does Emily end up with?

Emily in Paris hasn’t ended yet, so we’re not sure who the titular character will ride off into the sunset with just yet.

So far, the main contenders for Emily’s heart are Gabriel, Marcello and Alfie.
