The 2025 season of MasterChef Australia, dubbed ‘Back to Win,’ is bringing back previous fan-favourite contestants and giving them another shot at the MasterChef title!
Meet – or re-meet – all 24 contestants below.
The 2025 MasterChef Australia contestants:
Alana Lowes, QLD
Alana previously competed on MasterChef in its third season. Today, she works as a food, travel and lifestyle television presenter, travel writer, and magazine editor. Alana also launched her own sauce range.
Andre Ursini, SA
Andre was a contestant during MasterChef’s inaugural season, 16 years ago. He went on to open Andre’s Cucina & Polenta Bar in Adelaide, which was a successful restaurant for more than 10 years before it closed in 2020. Since then, Andre has opened three more thriving venues: Orso, Lost Phoenix Farm and Villetta Porcini.
Audra Morrice, NSW
Audra, who competed in MasterChef’s Season 4, is a television presenter, cookbook author and catering business proprietor. She is also a current judge on MasterChef Singapore and was previously on the judging panel of MasterChef Asia.
Beau Cook, VIC
Beau also competed in MasterChef’s Season 4. After his elimination, Beau pivoted and became a firefighter – but his love for food and cooking never waned.
Ben Macdonald, NZ
If you watched Season 6 of MasterChef, you’ll remember Ben’s dry sense of humour and unflinching determination. Now, Ben is back with a vengeance and, after running a cafe, bistro and fresh pasta delivery business, a more extensive culinary skillset.

Callum Hann, SA
Callum – who runs the successful cooking school Sprout – competed in MasterChef’s Season 2 AND Season 12, meaning this upcoming season will mark Callum’s third attempt at winning the prestigious title.
Cath Collins, VIC
Cath came fifth in MasterChef’s Season 15. She returns as a “wiser, calmer cook” who hopes to win but also plans on having more fun this time around.
Darrsh Clarke, VIC
Darrsh was a contestant during the 2024 season of MasterChef, meaning he’s going for a back-to-back crack at the title.
Declan Cleary, NSW
Among the MasterChef Season 15 contestants was Declan, who still dreams of opening his own farm-to-fork style venue.
Depinder Chhibber, NSW
Since competing in MasterChef’s Season 13, Depinder has launched a supper club called Ghar (which means home in Hindi) and appeared as a guest judge on MasterChef India.She’s excited to experience the MasterChef Australia “magic” again.
Jamie Fleming, QLD
Jamie competed in Season 6 of MasterChef. Since then, he ran the award-winning Alba Bar & Deli for five years and opened Spill Wine in 2024.
Jimmy Wong, NSW
During Season 8 of MasterChef, Jimmy competed with his sister Theresa by his side. Now Jimmy – who works as a food photographer, content creator and brand ambassador – is back to compete solo.

Laura Sharrad, SA
Laura has two runner-up titles to her name; she’s hoping this third time will be the charm. Aside from coming second during MasterChef’s Season 6 and Season 12, Laura also found success as the co-owner of restaurant Fugazzi Bar & Dining and pasta bar Nido.
Matt Hopcraft, VIC
Matt continued working as a dentist after competing in MasterChef’s Season 7. However, he also dabbled with work in several kitchens to further enhance his cooking skills.
Pete Campbell, NSW
After being crowned the runner up of Season 13, Pete joined the esteemed Peter Gilmore as a commis chef at Sydney’s Quay restaurant.
Rhiannon Anderson, QLD
After competing in Season 15 of MasterChef, Rhiannon launched her own business, Rhiplenish. She also runs cooking demonstrations and works with numerous brands.
Rue Mupedzi, WA
Rue competed in MasterChef’s Season 15. And while she continued working as a dental hygienist, Rue also started working part-time as a chef for private catering events.
Samira El Khafir, VIC
Samira placed third in MasterChef’s Season 5. Since then, the former hairdresser has launched a cafe, authored a cookbook, launched a range of low-carb products, and worked as a recipe developer.

Sarah Todd, VIC
Sarah competed in Season 6 and Season 14. Today, she works as an international chef, restaurateur, author, TV host and business owner. Sarah has also launched a successful sauce brand, Hot Toddy.
Savindri Perera, SA
Sav is determined not to waste her second chance! She came third last season and now works as a private chef.
Snezana Calic, VIC
Snezana is another contestant from Season 16. The mum of two has worked in restaurants to improve her skills, and taught pop-up cooking classes since leaving the MasterChef kitchen. Snezana also started working on a Mediterranean and Serbian-inspired cookbook.
Steph De Sousa, NSW
Since finishing twelfth in Season 11, Steph has become a social media sensation; she boasts close to three million followers! Steph has also authored two cookbooks, hosted her own television series and held ambassador roles.
Theo Loizou, VIC
Theo came fourth in MasterChef’s Season 15. And though he still works as an electrician, his dream of opening his own bakery is well and truly alive.
Tim Bone, VIC
Tim launched Tim’s Toasties, a mobile gourmet toasted sandwich business celebrating regional produce, after placing fourth in Season 11. Today, Tim has opened a bricks and mortar store for Tim’s Toasties and hosts the TV show Good Chef, Bad Chef.
The new season of MasterChef Australia will premiere on Channel Ten and 10play on Monday, April 28 at 7.30pm.
