The artistic element of the closing ceremony begins

Like the Opening Ceremony, the Closing Ceremony has an story that will be told through performance, music and dance.

Channel 9’s Eddie McGuire described it as:

“So, night has fallen and the Stade de France is transformed into a monumental theatre. We are transported to another space and time in a world that is dark, deserted and mysterious. And emerging from the sky the golden Voyager lands before our eyes into a spectacular landscape. Enhanced by lighting effects, enhanced by an epic score, characteristic of Thomas Jolly’s artistic universe, we are following in the footsteps of this voyager as he takes us on a dream- like quest to the very foundations of humanity.”
