Thank God You’re Here first premiered in 2006 with comedian Shane Bourne as host.
And the show, which asked guest comedians to walk through a blue door and enter a scene with no script or prior knowledge and just improvise their way through it, quickly became a success.
Thank God You’re Here ran for three seasons between 2006 and 2007, and featured comedians like Hamish Blake, the late Cal Wilson, Shaun Micallef, Arj Barker, Julia Zemiro, Fifi Box, Ahn Do and Josh Lawson.
After a short hiatus, in 2009, the show released its fourth season.

Then, after 14 years, Thank God You’re Here was rebooted in 2023 with comedian Celia Pacquola taking over the hosting duties.
