Beloved Australian actress Nicole Kidman and best-selling author Liane Moriarty have teamed up again!
During SXSW Sydney, Nicole took to the stage on October 19, 2023, and revealed that she was working on another series based on one of Liane’s novels.
“Nobody knows this yet, but The Last Anniversary starts filming on November 13,” the Oscar-winner said. “[It’s] an Australian project with Australian accents for the world,” Nicole added before praising Liane, who she considers a friend.
“They’re very cinematic, the way [Liane] writes characters. She structures them amazingly and they’re conceptual. She’s just become a great friend. I just really liked her whether we ever worked together again or not. I will still have her in my life.”
The duo first worked together in 2017 on the television adaptation of Liane’s book Big Little Lies; Nicole starred in the series alongside Reese Witherspoon, Zoë Kravitz, Shailene Woodley, Adam Scott and Laura Dern.
Then in 2021, Nicole starred in Nine Perfect Strangers, based on Liane’s book of the same name.
