Princess Catherine — aka Kate Middleton — is continuing to cement her status as a fashion icon in 2025.
After taking most of last year off due to abdominal surgery and preventative chemotherapy, the Princess of Wales has returned to public duties this year…
This means fashionistas can expect to see her signature, effortlessly chic style more regularly.
Below are her best looks from 2025… So far!

Navy for a naval ceremony
For the official naming ceremony of HMS Glasgow at BAE Systems’ shipyard in Scotstoun, Princess Catherine embraced a nautical look. Dressed in a tailored navy and white coatdress by Suzannah London and a coordinating Philip Treacy hat, the Princess paid subtle homage to the Royal Navy with her polished styling.
It was her first time formally naming a Royal Navy vessel, a role she embraced with a traditional whisky-smashing and a heartfelt blessing.
Appointed Sponsor of HMS Glasgow in 2021, Catherine added a striking new brooch designed by Glasgow jewellers James Porter & Son. Inspired by the ship’s crest, the piece symbolised both the vessel and the city, and was worn prominently on her lapel.

Garden Party glam
On May 20, 2025, Catherine – along with Prince William, Prince Edward and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh – attended a Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace.
It marked the first Garden Party the Princess of Wales has attended since 2023.
For the affair, Catherine wore the Elta Crêpe Midi Dress by Emilia Wickstead. She previously wore this dress to the Jubilee Service of Thanksgiving in June 2022.
This time round, the princess accessorised with a matching Philip Treacy hat, the Lili Woven Clutch by Australian brand Forever New, Gianvito Rossi heels, and the Robinson Pelham Acorn earrings – which Catherine wore on her wedding day.

The future queen in olive green
On May 13, 2025, Princess Catherine presented the Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design alongside British Fashion Council CEOs Caroline Rush and Laura Weir.
Considering she was at a fashion event, it’s no surprise the Princess of Wales looked impeccable.
She wore an olive green suit by Victoria Beckham, a white ruffled blouse by Knatchbull, stilettos by Ralph Lauren and the late Queen’s Bahrain Pearl and Diamond Drop Earrings.

Trying (and nailing) a fashion trend
On May 8, 2025, Catherine and William attended a concert held at the historic Horse Guards Parade, in honour of the 80th Anniversary of VE Day.
For the concert, the Princess of Wales wore Self Portrait‘s Cream Tailored Boucle and Chiffon Midi Dress.
And she paired the fabulous dress with a Susan Caplan pearl necklace, Susan Caplan earrings, a Chanel clutch, and nude stilettos.
Catherine also wore a large, velvet bow in her hair – proving that, while the princess usually sticks to more classic styles, she’s not afraid to try a trend!

Dotted and dashing
Catherine, the Princess of Wales, looked radiant as she stepped out in this flattering white polka dot dress by Alessandra Rich featuring a high neck, gathered waist, and poofy sleeves. She accessorised the look with a DeMellier light brown leather handbag and a statement headpiece. Also, royal watchers have pointed out that the earrings she chose appear to be Princess Diana’s Collingwood drop pearl earrings. She was attending the Service of Thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey on the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
Princess Catherine is known for rewearing some of her favourite wardrobe items, and this is another case of a “royal rewear”. She previously wore this dress for the Order of the Garter Service in June 2023, which was her husband, Prince William’s first as the Prince of Wales.

We love a sustainable Princess!
Princess Catherine turned heads when she showed up to the VE Day celebrations in a stunning purple Emilia Wickstead midi dress and a matching hat by Sean Barratt. However, eagle-eyed royalists noticed it was a stylish combo she had donned once before.
She wore the maroon purple ensemble while at the Ceremonial Welcome at Horse Guards Parade for South African President Cyril Ramaphosa on the first day of his State Visit to the United Kingdom on November 22, 2022, in London, England.
It was the first state visit with King Charles III as monarch. A fitting dress choice for VE Day celebrations. Furthermore, she chose to wear RAF wings brooch on her lapel as an homage to the Royal Air Force.

Newsies meets nature
In April 2025, Catherine released a short film about the importance of the natural world.
And in the film, the Princess of Wales looks styishly cosy!
She’s wearing a Bella Hoskyns Bomber Jacket and the Otis Cashfeel Cable Knit Sweater by Emilia Wickstead (which you can buy for yourself here), along with skinny jeans and paperboy hat that gives serious Newsies vibes.

Lucky green
To no one’s surprise, Catherine wore green to the Irish Guards’ St. Patrick’s Day Parade, held on March 17, 2025.
Her look consisted of an emerald Alexander McQueen coat and a matching Lock and Company hat. She also wore black Cornelia James gloves and matching Ralph Lauren boots.
She accessorised her ensemble with a pair of Kiki McDonough earrings with green amethysts, green tourmalines, and diamonds. The Princess of Wales also donned the Shamrock Brooch. This brooch is owned by the Irish Guards which loans it to royal women when they take part in ceremonial duties.
The brooch has previously been worn by the Queen Mother and Princess Anne.

Lady in red
For her first Commonwealth Day service in two years, Princess Catherine opted for an all-red ensemble. She wore her ruby-coloured Beau Tie dress by Catherine Walker and matching accessories. Including a pillbox hat by Gina Foster, a Miu Miu clutch, and Gianvito Rossi stilettos (you can buy the exact same pair here).
The Princess of Wales also wore the Four-Row Japanese Pearl and Diamond Choker that once belonged to Queen Elizabeth and the Collingwood Earrings that once belonged to Princess Diana.

Sustainable queen-to-be
We love sustainable fashion and it looks like the future Queen of England does too!
On February 26, 2025, Catherine, along with William, visited the Meadow Street Community Garden and Woodland in Wales. For the royal visit, she wore a Gucci midi skirt, Gianvito Rossi boots and a Ralph Lauren jacket.
The same Ralph Lauren jacket Catherine wore on March 13, 2007, to the annual Cheltenham Race Festival.

Respectful black and symbolic pearls
In honour of Holocaust Memorial Day, on January 27, Princess Catherine joined her husband Prince William at a reception held for around 50 Holocaust survivors at the Guildhall in London.
Catherine opted for a smart but respectful look — black trousers, a black top and a black blazer.
The Princess of Wales also wore a layered pearl necklace and the Bahrain Pearl Drop earrings (a gift from the late Queen Elizabeth).
She likely settled on these accessories as, since Queen Victoria, pearls are a staple of royal mourning attire. It’s believed Victoria mainly wore pearls after her husband Prince Albert’s death. To her, they represented tears.

Alexa, play Maroon by Taylor Swift
On January 14, the Princess of Wales paid a surprise visit to Royal Marsden Hospital. This was where she received treatment for cancer in 2024.
While there, Catherine met with doctors, nurses and cancer patients. She then publicly shared the happy news that she was in remission.
For the visit, the princess wore a maroon turtleneck and a matching maroon skirt. She also layered a chic Blazé Milano coat, made of brown tartan fabric, over the monochromatic outfit when she braved the cold weather outside.
