The late Princess Diana had four siblings.
She was the fourth of five children born to John Spencer, 8th Earl Spencer, and Frances Shand Kydd.

Lady Sarah McCorquodale
The eldest of Diana’s siblings, Lady Sarah was born on March 19, 1955.
Sarah had a significant influence on Diana’s life; she famously introduced Diana to the then-Prince Charles.
In fact, Sarah briefly dated Charles herself before she introduced him to Diana in 1977…
But Sarah ended up marrying Neil McCorquodale in 1980. The couple went on to have three children together – Emily, George, and Celia – and are still together today.
While Diana was a part of the royal family, Sarah regularly looked after Prince William and Prince Harry. She even accompanied Diana on a few official trips as a lady-in-waiting.
However, after Diana’s tragic death in 1997, Sarah completely retreated from public life.
Baroness Jane Fellowes
Born on February 11, 1957, Jane is the second eldest sister.
Jane married the late Queen Elizabeth II‘s then-assistant private secretary, Robert Fellowes in 1978, when Diana was 16.
Then after Diana married Charles in 1981, the sisters were neighbours – Jane’s marriage to Robert meant she got to live on the Kensington Palace estate, where Diana also lived with Charles, William and Harry.
Reportedly though, Diana and Jane fell out once Diana and Charles separated; Robert was promoted to private secretary in 1990, and he and Jane stayed loyal to the palace.
Today, Jane is still married to Robert, and the pair have three children: Laura, Alexander and Eleanor.
She has largely remained out of the public eye since Diana’s death and has never spoken publicly about it.
John Spencer
Diana had a brother named John who was born in 1960 but tragically died shortly after his birth.
Charles Spencer, 9th Earl Spencer
The youngest sibling, Charles was born on May 20, 1964.
Charles is a writer, journalist, and broadcaster.
He is known for his moving eulogy at Diana’s funeral in which he endlessly praised Diana but also reprimanded both the royal family and the British media for their treatment of her.
The Earl is the proud father of seven children. He shares Lady Kitty Eleanor Spencer, Lady Eliza Victoria Spencer, Lady Katya Amelia Spencer and Louis Spencer, Viscount Althorp with his first wife Victoria Lockwood, the Honourable Edmund Spencer and Lady Lara Spencer with his second wife Caroline Freud, and Lady Charlotte Diana Spencer with his third wife Karen Gordon.
Charles and Karen announced their divorce in June 2024, with Charles telling the Mail on Sunday, “It is immensely sad. I wish Karen every happiness in the future.”
Today, Charles lives at Althorp, his family’s 500-year-old estate in Northamptonshire, England.
The estate is also the final resting place of Diana. She’s buried at Oval Lake Grave – a small, secluded island found on Althorp’s 550 acres.
Charles told Good Morning America in October 2024 that he visits his sister’s gravesite “pretty much every day”.

Yes, it seems like Lady Sarah McCorquodale, Baroness Jane Fellowes and Charles Spencer, 9th Earl Spencer, have all stayed close with their nephews, Prince William and Prince Harry.
All three attended William’s wedding to Princess Catherine in 2011, and Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle in 2018. Jane even gave a reading during Harry and Meghan’s ceremony.
Furthermore, Jane was named as Princess Charlotte’s godmother, and she and Sarah attended Prince Archie’s christening.
